Comment: I'm saddened by the knowledge that the Eroica Quartet, one of my favourite qurtets, - the others being the Mosaiques and the Schuppanzigh - have gone exclusively digital in their recordings. I have always felt that the Eroica tread a middle path between the straight Mosaiques and the quirky Schuppanzigh and have never failed to love the variety. This is indeed sad news for record collectors.
