Mendelssohn octet
David was a member of the Eroica Quartet which astonished audiences and critics with its radical performances of the music of the Romantics.
They performed all over Europe and the USA, including at Wigmore Hall, London, Frick Collection, New York, and the Library of Congress, Washington DC, where they made a return visit in 2009.

They recorded to great acclaim the complete quartets of Mendelssohn and Schumann and a Beethoven disc on harmonia mundi usa.
For Resonus Classics they recorded
Debussy and Ravel Quartets,
made the World Premiere recording of the original 1825 version of Mendelssohn's Octet Op 20 (Eroica Quartet and friends)
